Again, another great show.

One suggestion, if I may. Could you please make consistent ID3 tags for you MP# files? I’m having a devil of a time getting your shows to sort correctly in my iPod and in creating smart playlists for iTunes. This is a bit of a pain, as I like to listen to your shows in date order, but many of the tags are not consistent, seeming to change with every show.

I was fortunate enough to share dinner with Doug and drink a vertical of 1990-2001 Shafer HillSide Select a few weeks ago in NYC and would like to say - Doug was one of the kindest, most sincere people I have had the honor to meet in the wine trade. His love for wine and for Shafer was evident in every vintage we opened. Salute to Doug - and thanks Graperadio.com for the wonderful interview.

Between Brian Loring and now Doug Shafer, you certainly are going after the cream of the crop (grapes) (individuals).

Thanks Steve. I think its real cool about the “winemaker” now running the company. Shafer is one of the most consistent wineries in Napa IMHO. I love their regular bottles just as much as the reserves. The Firebreak rocks! So does the merlot. The Syrah is getting up there in price, but oh my, what a crowd pleaser. The Hillside Reserve, from my cold dying hands….

We have a lot of really kick butt shows coming up, I can’t wait!

This was a great interview. Doug Shafer seems to be having a great time running the winery, I have tried several of their wines (Chard, Cab and Merlot) before but have not spent the big bucks on the Hillside Reserve wine. I think its time to give it a try. Thanks for show, please keep them coming. Steve T.
