The Rhones of France and Spain – HdR Part 5

Alvaro Palacios and His Many Admires
Today we interviewed 2 great wine makers. The first was Spanish winemaker Alvaro Palacios. His wines, which have received worldwide accolades, are made in the Priorat area (south of Barcelona) of Tarragona, Spain. At the event Alvaro poured several vintages of 3 different wines: Finca Dofí, L’Ermita and Les Terrasses.
We also interviewed gifted wine maker Louis Barruol of St Cosme. His wines are made in Gigondas area of Southern Rhone France. Louis is 14th generation descendant of this 16th century winery.

This event was more educational then you could ever imagine:

Thanks for another great show. I have heard a lot about these Palacios wines but never had a chance to try them – Hopefully in the future
. It seems like they really take a lot of pride in making a top notch wine.
Thanks Again . Barry
You nailed it Barry. You could just feel that he really viewed his wines as his children. Like a proud papa he sends his kids out into the world. I liked him just as much as his wines.
