Work the Crush
Attention GrapeRadio Listeners!!! Here is your chance to work “The Crush”. Bevan Cellars is looking for some help. Mother Nature has decided to ripen their Cabernet a little faster then they had expected so they had to move the harvest date up to Tuesday Oct. 11th. Because of the change they lost half of their crush crew (friends who were flying in for the weekend).
So before they hire non wine folks they thought they would see if four to six locals might enjoy getting their hands dirty. It is very hard work, they hand sort every single grape, but it’s always a magical day.
The wages are virtually non existent: A Crush Crew T Shirt, lunch, all the grapes you can eat and all the beer you can drink when completed.
They will start Tuesday morning, Oct. 11th, around 9:00 AM. The winery is in Sebastopol, ten minutes from Santa Rosa and an hour and ten minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge.
