Heys guys,

I'm 23 years old and have been drinking wine since I was legal. Not only am I addicted to wine itself but also learning as much as I can about it. The first show I listened to was your show on cork and I have been hooked ever since. It is extremely difficult to find others my age to have the sort of wine geek dialogue I hear on your show. You ask all the questions a true oenophile would - questions I have not seen or heard asked elsewhere. (But you always do it in a polite manner) You have given me new thinking about screw caps, the issue of one wine being better than the other, Yellow Tale and much more. Your guest list is truly exemplarily. I have read the entire Wine Bible and watched Karen MacNeil's show, so when you had her as a guest, my jaw dropped.

Thank you so much.

Hey guys,

Thanks for putting on all these great shows. I certainly hope you guys are making money doing these shows. I would hate to think that the would go away.

What can we (the listeners) do to help out Grape Radio and make sure it keeps going and growing.

Thanks John. We plan on pushing ourselves to really create shows that people want to hear, more than once.

We will be at World of Pinot, Hospice Du Rhone and Pinot Days. Events that you should consider attending.

Jay, Leigh, Brian -

Congratulations on your first year! I found out about your Podcast early in the spring and have been hooked ever since. I have downloaded every podcast and visit your web site weekly for updates I have learned so much from the three of you and your guests. I appreciate the interviews and have found my drives to and from work almost enjoyable (even in the Minnesota winters) while listening to your Podcast. I am very excited to see what this next year will bring to Grape Radio and what new things I will learn.

Thank you for the onabout wine kit earlier this year and for mentioning my comments on a earlier Podcast. Do you guy plan on taking your show on the road? I would love to be able to meet you in person and enjoy a bottle of wine with all three of you.

Once again, Congratulations on 2005 and to a successful 2006.

Just wanted to say thanks for the great prize. I don't have very many bottles in my "collection" but I am sure it will help me to keep track of them as it grows.
I also wanted to let you know that you are doing an amazing job with the show. I have taken a semester long class on wine and I thought I knew alot, but there is just so much new stuff to learn. I really appreciate the way that you bring wine to life in a way no classroom ever could.

I've listened to three of your shows and enjoyed them. I've been drinking wine regularly since the early '70s (mostly reds) and love to listen to interesting and interested people talk about their own experiences. In general my experience has been that it is now much harder to find a great wine at a bargain price (e.g., the Caymus Cab. that put California on the map for about $7 a bottle), but it's easier to find good, every-day drinking wines for a reasonable price. I'd love to hear a show devoted to some good every-day drinking wines.

Youndy, opening the bottles from my cellar for each podcast is the only way I will ever catch up on all the bottles I need to open.

Youndy, thanks dude. We have incorporated questions into the show, but not nearly enough. We will do more in 06. We also thought we might pick people at random to join us in a podcast. Just like one of the hosts. What do you think off the idea?

GReat year of shows! I've learned more here in '05 than three years of hanging out on wine bb's. One suggestion for the box for '06: would it be possible to have listener questions be incorporated into shows? Thanks for all the time and money that you put into a top notch production.

Jay, Leigh and Brian,

I love your show. I am a wine lover, but still consider myself a neophyte and I am learning a great deal from you guys.

If I could offer one small critique. I, like many people I am sure, learned about your show through iTunes by searching for wine. So, I didn't know about your website until you mentioned it on the show. However, you mentioned the website without including the URL (www.graperadio.com). Obviously, it is a no-brainer to figure it out, but you may want to mention the website and the URL at the beginning or end of each show, just to spell it out for people.

I look forward to many more shows in 2006.

Jay, Leigh and Brian,

I want to thank you for a wonderful year. Aside from being one of the best podcasts out there, GrapeRadio is one of my favorite forms of entertainment. I cannot imagine my commute on the 405 without a weekly dose of GrapeRadio. Keep up the good work and as you expand your brand, think about doing a local tasting. It would be fun getting together with other GrapeRadio enthusiasts!

Happy New Year!

Thank you for bringing your show to us. I first learned of the site in October and have been hooked ever since. I look forward to the email I get alerting me of what the new show is going to be. I have been downloading all your previous episodes and trying to catch up every chance I get.

It has been both enjoyable and a wonderful learning experience for me. The "top of mind" shows for me are the Bob Foley, Brian Loring, and Joe Davis interviews. The episode on oak barrels gave me a better appreciation for how they are used in the wine making process. The show on German wines, champagne, Blankiet interview and the list goes on.......never a dull moment.

Thank you for sharing your passion and love for wine. You have definitely set the bar on quality podcasting. Congratulations on a great 2005! I eagerly await 2006.

Cheers!

I won... 2 times. And a have to say that I appreciate both prizes: the Vinfolio and the shows itself. I do not want sound cheesy but listening to your shows is truly inspirational. Like Jay I am more enthusiastic and excited than ever. I just started to work in the business (as a strategist, marketing and tastings on the side for fun) and getting the information provided by you and your guests is essential.
Since I live in one of the few black holes of Rio with no fast internet connection I have to go to an internet cafe to download your shows. And it has been rewarding. From show 25 to 64 they are all in my lap top. Some of the shows I have listened 2-3 times. Not because of any language barriers but because there e is so much information packed into it. I special like the one with Bruno Paillard, Alvaro Palacio, "All About Cork", Wine Auctions, the role thing on Hospice du Rhone (specially the short interview with Jeff Cohen), Steve Tanzer, Judgement of Paris, to name a few.
I also would like to thanks the people from Vinfolio. I am looking forward to use your services. Hopefully you help me cope with the 100ºF, 98% moisture, characteristic of Rio de Janeiro's summer time.
My best wishes to you and everyone involved on the show and votes that you are able to maintain the avalanche of information, transparency and easy going aspect of them.
Hey, when are you going to do a show on South America? ... there are some really interesting stuff happening here. Chile is getting more refined, Argentina is still on the midst of a revolution, Uruguay is going thru changes... and Brazil produces wine on the 8º latitude South.

I have really enjoyed the first year of your show. I found out about your show after doing a lookup using “wine” at the Apple Podcast directory about 2 months ago – I grabbed samples of a few different shows and have to say that I enjoy the quality and content of GrapeRadio the most of all the wine related podcasts I have heard. I am a neophyte to wine geekdom. While my wife and I have casually been drinking for years, we really started to study Italian wine about a year ago in preparation for our first trip to Italy. We were amazed with the diversity of wines available there and had the most fun ducking into wine cellars and stores escaping the heat and doing a little tastings – often paired with local delicacies.

I have downloaded every show onto my Ipod and have finally had a chance to listen to each show on my commute back and forth to work. While I enjoy reading book, and it seems there are some good current wine books coming out, the podcast is unique in that you get to hear directly from the wine growers, wine makers, wine merchants and other folks active in the industry. Maybe not in the depth a book can present, but as it is more spontaneous, you can really get an understanding for the passion behind the people you have on. The three of you also bring different interests to the table, and you don’t have a problem stopping the discussion to explain terminology that the layman may not understand. As I listen and read more and more I am learning the terms, but I still appreciate that you continue to take the time to keep it clear to new listeners without breaking the tempo.

Keep up the great show!
