Leigh in the Cellars of Robert Weil

The character of Robert Weil Rieslings are heavily influenced by the mineral-rich slate soils of the Reingau region of Germany. Founded in 1875 by Dr. Robert Weil, the vineyards are planted 98% to Riesling and just 2% to Spätburgunder. With 65 hectares (160 acres) under vine, it is one of the largest estates in the Rheingau, and its vineyard sites include the best sections of the - Hill of the Counts.

Join Leigh Older and winemaker Stefan Bieber as they take us on a guided tour of this famous winery.

Great show, thank you for all of your information. One of my new favorite rieslings is the Hoffmann-Simon 04 Piesporter Goldtropfchen Riesling Kabinett. Great for all of your fall functions and holiday meals, has nice hints of ripe red apples.
