2006 Hospice du Rhone – Part 1

The Elderton Crew in their shirts; Eric and Brian interview Rod Schiffman
Considered the benchmark in U.S. wine festivals, the Paso Robles-based Hospice du Rhône takes place over a three-day period, involving events such as seminars, tastings, an auction, and gourmet meals. Originally envisioned as a conference of sorts for winemakers and vintners who were passionate about wine varietals originating from the Rhône Valley in France, HdR has become a watershed event, as international winemakers came to celebrate Rhône wines with other enthusiasts.
Join us as we interview some winemakers and visitors, to hear what this event means to them.

Great show, guys–you’ve convinced me that I definitely need to attend this event. I don’t know if I can make it this year, but perhaps 2008. But I’m going to encourage my friends who just moved to Thousand Oaks to attend if they can. They’ll love it.
I’m really looking forward to the seminars, and I think it’s a great idea to publish the wine list ahead of time so that we can participate.
Keep up the great work!
what fun! great to hear Bruce on the show. Looking forward to the other HdR shows
Another stellar show as always guys. I would love to attend HdR this year, but as a beginning winery owner myself(3rd release this year) I’ve got too many commitments to bottle wine, sell it and keep the wife happy. Unless of course I can convince her that an early vacation is needed for “Research” purposes since we are releasing our own Syrah this year ? Hmmm, it might just work. Anyway, keep up the great job and if I attend HdR I’ll for sure swing by your booth and introduce myself. Cheers ~ Max
