2012 Wine Controversies

There is absolutely no way that wine people (aka, wine geeks) all agree on aspects of wine miscellanea. Wine descriptors, cork vs. screw cap, pricing, etc, etc.
Join us as we talk with Todd French from WineBerserkers.com, probably the hottest place on the internet to discuss wine. We think you’ll find plenty of controversy, and more than a little trolling in our conversation. Heck, there might even be a little truth, too!

This podcast is only listed as 16:20 seconds when you get it from iTunes or direct download from here. Problem?
Yes, there is something wrong. The archived recording stops after 16 minutes or so and either the show got out of hand and could not be published or there is a technical glitch which might be correctable.
Podcast stops after about 16 minutes…
The first 15 minutes seemed pretty good.
Yes they do. I’m really surprised they made that mistake.
I bet they are all at WOPN this weekend…
bet they fix this later.
FWIW, do you really need more than 15 min of TF? ;-P
We are back from the 2012 World of Pinot Noir in Shell Beach. It was awesome! Sorry for the delay in fixing the technical issue. All Set! – Enjoy – The GrapeRadio Crew.
I was liking this episode when it stopped…but I did get to hear your discussion about whether wine critics and ratings are necessary. I feel you never discussed the most important issue. We normal people can’t taste the thousands of wines we see in the store and read about. You say we should use our own judgment and taste the wines, but from a purely pragmatic standpoint we can’t. We have to allign our tastebuds with someone (our favorite reviewer/s) and trust their opinions as our first selection point, then go on to form our own opionions and perhaps buy more.
I’ve loved the show through all these years…keep it up, but don’t get too close to the issues. Some of the innocence of the earliest shows was wonderful. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the episode.
I agree with John Gonzalez, self-reviews is a best way to find what’s yours, but you can’t really try all wine from your local shop. At least you need something like a direction where you start your journey in wine tasting.
