Another fine program, I really enjoyed it. Good to know that older Zins are surviving, and quite well by the sound of things. I’ve been skeptical of Zins of late mostly because of the high alcohol and sweetness in the examples I’ve been served. The only producer I’d have no worries over would be anything from Ridge, based on their reputation rather than experience.

I have only a couple of Zins in my cellar, an ’85 and a ’92, and had wondered if I’d left it too late but your show has reassured me. Thanks.

I am one who still enjoys Zinfandels. No matter what the majority seem to think, they are always a big hit at all of our get togethers.

Best is always subjective. These wines come from well-respected wineries with a long history of producing consistent Zinfandels. Many receive good to excellent ratings on a consistent basis from wine critics.
